My (now ex-girlfriend) Cara surprised me yesterday with these gifts for our 1-year anniversary. She sure knows what I like.
Here’s what I got:

- Stuffed toy dog — Cara always had a thing for stuffed animals. This is actually the SECOND stuffed toy I got from her. The first one was a small white puppy (see it here) who we call Arf Arf. We call this one "Mon Mon". (Adorable, I know.) ^_^
- Densha Otoko DVD — My favourite Japanese drama! Oh my frickkin’ gosh you should have seen my face when she gave me this. It took a while for Cara to accept my unique obsession with things Japanese (entertainment, food, culture, etc) so getting this from her is really something.

- OPTIMUS PRIME SHIRTS — I grew up watching Transformers and getting these shirts just brought out the geek in me all over again. What’s really cool about this is that I got BOTH versions of Optimus Prime - the "modern" look from the latest summer film (above) and the classic Optimus design from the 80’s cartoon (below).
These two shirts should go well with the Optimus Prime shirt I already have.

With the latest Batman flick kicking some serious arse at the Box Office, I feel that it’s also quite appropriate to give the Caped Crusader’s sidekick Robin some much-deserved time at the spotlight.
Grayson is a 2004 fan film made by John Fiorella featuring Dick Grayson, along with several other DC Universe characters. Since it’s a fan film, it was not allowed to be sold at a profit and was thus distributed for free on the internet. The film is a mock trailer for a Grayson movie. No such movie exists. The trailer won several awards such as the Universal Studios Judges Award 2005 and is the recipient of praise from comic book legends including Neal Adams, Jim Lee and Alex Ross.

A great Flash parody of Metal Gear Solid. If you’re a fan of the videogame franchise you’ll likely get some of the in-jokes. Lots of swearing on this one so if you’re using a public computer either put on some headphones or tone down the volume. Click the fullscreen icon on the lower right of the player for the best view.
