A Sea Of Colours — Living on the 12th floor has its benefits. I took a good look outside the window the morning after I arrived from the airport. This shot made me realize that I really was in the Philippines. Manila never looked so good.

Manila Skyline — I was actually surprised how great the shot turned out: symbols of the city’s economic progress sandwiched between old houses and buildings and the cloudy sky.
Poetic, I know. ^___^
I’m having a great time here in Manila.
It took me a while to re-adjust myself to the sights, sounds, and smells of the city but I’m doing much better now.
Thanks for the comments and messages. I really appreciate it.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- Ate at Jollibee. Nothing like eating a freshly-made "Champ" on a rainy Tuesday afternoon.
- Visited my grandparents.
- Spent a whole day with my girlfriend. That was a good day. ^___^
- Tried some local food I haven’t had in a while: sisig, fried squid, mango salad, chicharong bulaklak, maling, taho. Fishballs, balot, and isaw will be next. Yummy!
- Saw "Bay Walk" at Roxas Blvd. Wow.
- Rode a jeepney. I can’t believe the fare’s now at 7.50
- Saw a 200 php bill for the first time.
- Saw a 10 php coin for the first time.
- Went to Robinson’s Ermita (mall).
- Went to the recently-opened SM North in Quezon City.
- Introduced my cousins to MORNING MUSUME. ^___^
I’ll give you more updates soon. I’m going to Tagaytay tomorrow.

I’m going on a month-long vacation to the Philippines.
It’s been 4 years since we moved to Toronto and it’s gonna be my first time back. I’m having feelings of excitement and nervousness and it just can’t be helped. I’ve already started packing so that’s one less thing for me to worry about.
Before I go, I just want to leave some blog-related notes:
(1) I’M STILL GOING TO BLOG - I want to tell you how the vacation’s going. I’ll go to some internet cafe and do "quickie posts". I’m not really sure how often I can update but I’ll do what I can. ^___^ I know I should be enjoying my vacation but blogging has become such a part of my daily routine that I just have to do it - even if they’re just short entries.
(2) The Great Ray of AMERICANWOTA, THIS IS FOR YOU - I made two entries for this week’s SBR. That should put my site in the roundup for at least another week.
(3) KEEP THOSE COMMENTS COMING - Even if I don’t get the chance to update, I’m still going to drop by the site. Leave your comments in the tagboard or via the entries. Just remember to keep them clean.
