Taka, Eri, and Kairo

                  "FRIEND" = TOMODACHI

I spent the afternoon with Taka and Eri today. I feel quite sad that they’re flying back to Japan this January. Not only do I get a better understanding of the Japanese Culture through their stories, but they’re such wonderful people I just wish I could spend more time with them.

Meet TAKA. He’s one cool guy!

This is ERI. Kawaii !!! ^___^

            Kairo

This is a "KAIRO", probably one of the coolest things ever invented. It’s a small cloth bag filled with iron powder.

Now what’s neat about this is that when you rustle the bag, it actually starts to warm up! At first I didn’t understand how it worked then Taka explained that as you rustle the bag, the oxygen reacts with the iron powder and creates a chemical reaction, causing the bag to heat up.

I did some web browsing and found a website where you can buy your very own kairo.

Random Randomness…part 4

  • TOO MUCH CUTENESS IS BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH

            Hey

Last night I spent 3 hours watching various TV clips and music videos of the ever-adorable Japanese group MORNING MUSUME. If you don’t know who they are, here’s an article to get you started.

I like them so much I added five MORNING MUSUME links to "My Favourite Clips" section. These are hilarious TV appearances by the group.

BONUS!!!

Watch one their music videos!

  • ONG BAK !!!

I found this great clip of Thai actor Tony Jaa doing stunts during a promo appearance for the movie. The things he does are really insanely cool! Grab a DVD copy now!

Read my August blog post about ONG BAK and other Asian films.

  • THE PERFECT GIFT FOR YOUR KIDS THIS CHRISTMAS!

Hip-hop rapper 50 Cent said it’s OK for parents to let their children buy and play his upcoming video game "50 Cent:Bulletproof" even though the video is rated "M" for mature due to blood, gore and sexual themes. (read full article)

"Just because it is rated mature doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy it for your kids."

  • PABLO FRANCISCO

There are good stand-up comedians and there are GREAT stand-up comedians. Pablo Francisco is definitely one of the latter. Just like my favourite stand-up comedian Dane Cook, Pablo fires one great joke after another.
